The Craig Bellamy Foundation operates Sierra Leone's only professional Football Academy. The Charity runs the National Youth Football League developed with support from UNICEF, offering underprivileged children the chance to reach their potential through sport and education. Since teaming up with Performa Sports at the start of 2013 both sides have improved in terms of sporting performances and the use of performance analysis by sharing innovative concepts in technology, Academy structures, coaching, player development and player communication.

CBF's U16 Head Coach and Head of Performance Analysis Tom Legg commented that "As the leading sports academy in Sierra Leone we are constantly looking to provide our young athletes with the tools and opportunities to push back boundaries and elevate themselves to a platform where they can inspire their fellow Africans to achieve more in the fields of sport and education. Our partnership with Performa Sports is allowing us to use innovative techniques to help our athletes better understand their own performance and create tailored action plans to develop their technical and tactical performance on the field, as well as increase their own understanding of the game."

Performa Sports' Marketing & Communications Director Joe Turley echoed the sentiments of the CBF saying that "...the inspiring work of the Craig Bellamy Foundation and the Academy team in Sierra Leone immediately captured our interest, respect and 'desire to help'. The Charity's ethos of 'helping underprivileged children to achieve their potential through sport and education' resonates strongly with our own brand values and we felt that our technology and 'understanding of the power of numbers combined with our belief in the potential of people' made for a perfect partnership."

As part of the partnership, the CBF Football Academy is using Performa Sports' pioneering suite of easy-to-use performance analysis software that harnesses the power of the iPad for mobile real time performance tagging, video analysis and visual communication with an integtrated easy-share cloud platform for data sharing and extended trend analytics. In keeping with the core ethos of 'achieving potential through sport and education' both the Craig Bellamy Foundation and Peforma Sports are collaborating closely to further improve the integrated aspects of technology, processes, player interaction, communication, user experience and results, that are required for effective performance analysis. In recognition of performance improvement, Performa Sports have sponsored the CBF Academy Player of the Year Award due to be announced at the end of the current academic year which includes a player bursary for educational materials and training equipment.
